Well, I thought I would do a little breakdown of this match as its the first match I've watched fully since I've started this Blog. I would like to say if you are a Tottenham fan, fair play.
Your team showed Europe how to pass the ball and Jermaine Defoe put a foot back into the England squad with that performance, although he isn't going to Ukraine for the England friendly, I think he will be going and starting in the world cup if he keeps these performances up.
Back to the match, Adebayor had a brilliant game in my opinion. Tottenham only had one major cock up and that was Kyle Naughton and equally Lloris's fault for a dodgy pass back and then a silly touch from the keeper.
But apart from that Tottenham stepped it up and played Maribor off the pitch. Man of the match in my opinion was Tom Carroll what an introduction into the first team! Even though Defoe banged in a Hat Trick, Tom did all the hard work in the middle of the park.
Tottenham are my tip to win the Europa League.
This is just a short and sweet review of the match, just an overview.
I will start by saying Newcastle should have won this game! Obertain had a few chances but they went 2-0 down. But Newcastle came back into it just before half time with an excellent strike from Anita. I will try and get a link to this goal as soon as I can! In the second half Newcastle dominated but couldn't finish their chances and it finished 2-2 on the night with Newcastle the better team! My prediction for Newcastle is the semi final.
